A Sample Shopping Guide to Berlin

The one thing I discovered in Berlin was the number of vintage stores the city had to offer (even the locals I photographed told me that vintage stores were the way to shop in Berlin!). However, one thing that I find daunting about vintage stores is rummaging through all the clothing! Well, Berlin makes the experience a tad easier since many of the stores are so well organized - you wouldn't even know that you were vintage shopping! It becomes fun and stress free. But for those who like a good hunt, Berlin also has vintage stores where you can spend endless hours rummaging for little treasures.

Happy Shopping!

Paul's Boutique
Oderberger Strasse 45/47, Prenzlauer Berg

Colours
Bergmannstrasse 102, Kreuzberg

You pay 15 euros/kilo!

Other great vintage stores:

No Socks No Panties (A great mix of high end vintage and locally designed goods)
Stargarder Strasse 10, Prenzlauer Berg

Trag Flaeche (Great vintage clothing for men)
Pappelallee 10, Prenzlauer Berg

Garments (Reasonably price designer clothes and the most organized vintage I've ever seen!)
Stargarder Strasse 12A, Prenzlauer Berg
Linienstrasse 204-205, Mitte

Sterling Gold (Dresses for any occasion!)
Oranienburger Strasse 32, Mitte

Calypso (Shoes galore!)

Sommerladen (Another vintage store with a great collection of designer clothing)

And for those who want more than just vintage shopping, here are some other options:

Kufurstendamm (Ku'damm) - a long strip with plenty of international stores and the infamous KaDeWe department store (Check out the 6th floor for their selection of gourmet foods!)

Mulackstrasse - If you want to check out some local Berlin designers (Note: Can be pricey $)

And for those who are more in the mood for window shopping, check out:

Supalife Kiosk - A great store with cool graphics and illustrations
Raumerstrasse 40, Prenzlauer Berg

Hatch - Sticker Museum!
Brunnenstrasse 196, Mitte

Pro qm - The design of this bookstore is worth seeing (so are the books!)
Almstadtstrasse 48-50, Mitte

Leila M - A small, but eclectic selection, of current music
Rosa-Luxemburg-Strasse 30, Mitte

One last note:
There are great local stores in every neighbourhood, and this list is by no means exhaustive, so just keep your eyes peeled for anything that may seem interesting to you :)
